Renner Road Lane Closures through September

The two outside lanes of westbound Renner Road will be closed from Orchard Ridge Lane (just west of Custer Parkway) to the DART Silver Line bridge (just east of Greenside Drive) from now through September. The inside westbound lane of Renner Road will remain open for the duration of the project.

In addition, for the first three-to-four weeks of this project, the inside lanes of both eastbound and westbound Renner Road will be closed at the DART Silver Line bridge. During this time, westbound Renner Road traffic will be shifted from the inside lane to the middle lane just west of the Marquis at Waterview Apartment Community.

Summer Parking Lot Repairs Begin on June 16

East Entrance to Lot U Closed for Repairs

The east entrance to Lot U will be closed for repairs until further notice. This lot can still be entered from the west side, via Field Street.

University Transit Center Moved to Lot U During Loop Road Repairs, May 9-16

The University Transit Center will temporarily operate out of Lot U from May 9-16 while Loop Road Southwest is under repair. The Comet Cruiser will enter campus via Field Street to reach Lot U. Please remember to budget extra time for traveling to and from the temporary transit center.

The eastbound lane of Loop Road Southwest leading in and out of the south end of Lot J will be closed during this time. Lot J can be entered from the north via Franklyn Jenifer Drive.

Waterview Parkway Closed at the DART Silver Line Crossing, March 15-17

Update: This closure will continue through most of Monday, March 17.

The City of Richardson will close Waterview Parkway at the DART [Dallas Area Rapid Transit] Silver Line crossing on Saturday, March 15, in both directions. The crossing is expected to be closed all day. During this time, traffic will be rerouted to Synergy Park Boulevard and W Renner Road.

Northbound Loop Road SW Closed for Repairs, March 15-23

Northbound Loop Road SW will be closed for repairs from Saturday, March 15, through Sunday, March 23.

Comet Cruiser Route 883 buses will enter campus via Franklyn Jenifer Drive during these repairs, and Route 883 East stops 29143, 25242, and 31564 on Waterview Parkway will be closed while this detour is in effect.

Planned Power Outage Across Campus on March 22

Facilities Management will be conducting critical repairs to electrical equipment on campus, requiring power outages which will affect several University facilities from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 22.

Buildings served by backup power will still have emergency power during this time.

Anyone with equipment in these buildings should take the necessary precautions to ensure it will not be affected during the shutdown. Please make sure that all computers and any sensitive equipment are turned off to prevent the loss of critical information.

During these outages, no one will be allowed to enter any affected buildings without authorization from UTD Police.
